Show Some Character: The Knitted Tie

When it comes to showing off a bit of personality for minimalistic men like myself, accessories are the best candidates for the job - scarves, bracelets, rings, and more importantly for today's post, knit ties.

I do not own a lot of knit ties. Actually, the ones I am featuring in the photos above are the fourth of the four I have in my overall collection so far. Traditionally designed appropriately for occasions that require more casual attire, I have learned that generally, a noncomplex designed piece is an impressive, and dashing selection to add to one's wardrobe.

Slowly, but surely, I have come to the conclusion that although knit ties can be a bit one dimensional, they have the ability to showcase the strength, and force of one's personality in a look. There seems to be a stigma associated with detail pieces that glorifies its need for obvious notice, and while that is not entirely false, there are also pieces like cufflinks, rings, watches, and scarves that are only meant to be distinguished upon careful examination.

The polka dotted tie I am wearing above is a tribute to subtle, and classic design. With knit ties, there is no need for exaggeration, and flamboyance. It pays to retain a clean, and precise look.
