It's that time of the year! If you consider yourself a social butterfly, have a huge family, or large group of friends, there is a high possibility you will be attending a wedding this summer.
Nowadays as men, we do not have to restrict ourselves to the traditional ways of formal dressing - Cheers to diversity in the way wedding ceremonies are being observed these days in perspective to theme, and location.

Let's start with the most popular way of dressing for a wedding. The Black Tie Dress Code. Very reminiscent of old hollywood, the tuxedo in black, navy or white is a classic selection that will transcend time.
Here are some easy notes to always keep in mind:
Prioritizing on fit being clean, sharp, and well proportioned, you're guaranteed a snazzy look.
For Tuxedo Jackets, you can go for Peak Lapels or Shawl Collars. (I'm wearing a Shawl Collared Tuxedo in the pictures above) Both options showcase awareness, and attention to detail. It is nice to step things up from the regular Notch Lapels which are typically seen on business suits.
Some say the sleeves of the shirt worn underneath the tuxedo jacket should be visible in length under the blazer. I agree! It makes for a better presentation to help show off any arm accessories such as cufflinks, and wrist watches.
Are you really doing black tie if you're not featuring a bow tie? Probably not. Bow ties are a must have essential for black tie engagements. It is the essence.

Wearing beautifully constructed shoes such as the Joe Cap Toe Oxford Shoes, by Jack Erwin is a great way to solidify a black tie look. Black Tie shoes require a sleek, and simplistic silhouette. A customary choice indeed, but I am sure you would want to be assured a classic look you'll be proud of for years to come.
Pairing with long black socks is ideal but in the summertime, that can easily be forgiven if the tailoring of the trousers are proportioned enough for a no show sock presentation. Loafers work for this appearance as well. Consciously avoid toe box dress shoes.
Details making use of print, color, or texture, present a great way to show off character. Usually, it is acceptable to add any form of detail you would like, but if you are going to break away from the customary cummerbunds, cufflinks, and shiny shoes, it is important to know that whatever decision you make should be definitive, uncomplicated, polished, and urbane.
The pocket square, and wrist watch are placed to give the black, and white palette a little pizzazz. Keeping things simple is key, and for a black tie themed event, monochromatic color palettes always win.
